kraze1-2 kraze1-2 LA Radio Group felt there was a radio void in the Red Deer area as there wasn't a station that exclusively played the newest hit music. So they came up with the idea of the Kraze radio channel. Kraze would be fresh, vibrant and have an urban appeal to the 18-44 demographic. Kraze wants to be known as a "channel" to

show that in addition to the traditional radio media of using airwaves, they would be broadcast online.



Idea Market started working on the logo by researching what existing radio stations in Red Deer and the area looked like. We found some trends and used those to define a way to stand out against the competition (hint: most of the stations in Red Deer were using red in their identities). We examined similar radio formats around North America and worked with LA Radio Group to decide what would appeal to their audience and show off the personality of the brand. We kept the font of the logo simple and modern as well (yes, that's Helvetica), but created a "grunge" look to add some interest and dynamicism to the movement of the "swoop" and the bouncy, lively type.

We created the website to be able to show a lot of information in an easy-to-read and interactive way (why yes, that is a Joomla content management system!). Due to Kraze's format (new hit music), we wanted the site to be: fresh, young and bright-looking with some urban edge, inspired by the grunge/half-tone elements of the logo.
