New Project: Medicine River Wildlife Centre

Written by Carson Pierce Tuesday, 13 November 2007 00:00

We are excited to be redeveloping the website for Medicine River Wildlife Centre. The MRWC works to rehabilitate and release injured and orphaned wild animals from across Alberta, treating over 1200 animals annually. Also of note is the fact that their Mother's Day fundraiser (May 11, 2008) will be featuring Rick Mercer as the guest speaker. More details on that once the new site launches in early December!

Kettlebell mania

Written by Jane Friday, 14 September 2007 00:00

Well I have completed the infamous Keith Weber Kettlebell instructional workout video. I have managed to memorize most of the techniques without even lifting a kettlebell! The dvd style, tone and rhythm are very dynamic in order to motivate the trainee and ensure a consistent pace for an efficient workout. It's a great workout, and will inevitably improve your cardio and strength...maybe I'll get myself a kettlebell...

The Lacombe Regional Tourism and Marketing Association held their follow-up stakeholders meeting tonight, with yours truly acting as the moderator once again. The goal of these meeting is to bring together the Town of Lacombe (and other municipalities in the region), Lacombe County, the Lacombe Chamber of Commerce, the Historical Society, and anyone else who has a vested interest in area tourism and figure out how to best direct each of their efforts for the coming year.

New Gord Bamford CD Design

Written by Steve Fisher Tuesday, 28 August 2007 00:00

We just completed the design for the new Gord Bamford CD. It was fun to work with a rising star in the country music industry, especially on such a creative project. We came up with 4 different concepts for the artwork then Gord and "his people" chose the one that fit best for them. We're very pleased with the result and can't wait to show it off when the CD releases this September.

Along with the CD comes a new logo and website design for our Alberta country star. Go Gord go!

New Client: Pheasantback Estates

Written by Carson Pierce Wednesday, 18 July 2007 00:00

After having to jump through hoops for months and months, our new pal Mark at Quartz Land & Development finally got the go-ahead to start a new real estate development across from Pheasantback Golf & Country Club (out near Stettler). The golf course (which we fully intend to "research" in the near future) is apparently top-notch and we're sure the Estates will be equally classy. Watch for a new logo, business card and website soon!

Project Completion: 24-7 Video Player

Written by Bill Friday, 06 July 2007 00:00

This week we concluded another exciting project: an online video player for 24-7 Video Tours that features custom branding for multiple "stations". The 24-7 guys can now create as many different station pages as they need, each with their own branding. Other features include random video advertisements before the main videos, random sponsor ads at the bottom of the page, various statistics of user activity and much more. We also had to set up a dedicated server for the site to handle the heavy traffic that it will be receiving.

Today we're celebrating the first birthday of Sunny 94 FM in Lacombe! It's hard to believe that it has already been a year. To kick-off the party we've launched the redesigned website that is more flexible and faster.

Sunny 94 Website

Written by Steve Fisher Sunday, 02 July 2006 00:00

This past week we launched sunny94.com. Not only is it fantastic to have a great radio station in our home town, but it was fun to develop their website. However, I think we may have affected the productivity in all the offices in Lacombe with this website launch. The retro arcade has proved to be fairly popular … well at least in the Idea Market office.

Check it out!
